Oh, hey neighbors. Hi, sorry, I was just looking at my beautiful fireplace here. In today’s episode of Fireside Chat with Matt, we’re gonna be discussing some ideas on how to keep your flame burning with Gas Fireplace Service of Stafford.

Hey, I’m Matt with Gas Fireplace Service of Stafford and in today’s video, we’re gonna highlight the question: Can I rearrange my logs on a direct vent system?

The short answer, no. The way these logs are arranged directly from the manufacturer prevents any flame impingement around the log placement itself, as you can see here.

If you rearrange these logs incorrectly, it’s gonna produce soot on the inside of the firebox, produce soot on the backside of the glass, and also may produce soot that’s gonna exhaust up the side of the home and that’s why you should never rearrange your logs. And if you ever have any additional follow-up questions, please call us at Gas Fireplace Service of Stafford.
